Top 5 NFL Prospects

Image
Going into 2021, I figured I would throw a list of 5 guys who could possibly be NFL prospects for 2022. To be honest, coming out of BG has not been super fortunate for draft picks, getting just one in 7 years (Scott Miller). This list is in no particular order either. BG does not really have many upperclassmen so the list of even potential players is thin. 1. Sam Neverov OL redshirt Junior  Neverov is 6'6 and weighs over 300 pounds so it is safe to say if he sheds a couple of pounds and contiues to improve he could improve his stock.  2. James Carolan LS Senior  Long snappers always have potential to go from random schools, so why not add a 4 year starter to the list. 3. Jerry McBride DB redshirt Senior Jerry is tall, fast, and can get physical on the line. He has potential to get to the next level.  4. Matt Naranjo P redshirt Senior Matt transferred from New Mexico and has been a stud in the Orange and Brown, so who knows maybe someone needs a new punter in camp.  5. Matt McDonal

Three members of the Boston College Football Team came over to BG when Scot Loeffler accepted the job as head coach. They have not made a lot of impact so far but I decided to look into it anyways. 1. Matt McDonald QB McDonald appeared in 2 games at BC, going 7/8 passing with 2 touchdowns and 118 yards against Holy Cross and UMass. At BG, Matt was denied eligibility in 2019, and started 2020 going just 54/123. He threw 1 touchdown and 6 picks, mostly due to some really poor talent around him. This team was so young, and protection was not great. Yeah Matt needs to be better but his weapons did not give him much. I am really hoping in 2022 he takes this team back to a bowl. 2. Darius Wade QB Darius came to BG and started 2019. At Boston College, Wade threw 5 touchdowns and 5 picks in his career as an Eagle. Darius even started the bowl game BC made in 2017 where they lost a close game to Iowa. At Bowling Green, Wade got the first win of the Loeffler era against Morgan State but was unab
