MAC Week 1 Gambling Corner

Football is finally back, and as per request, I will be dishing out picks for every MAC game.

1. Western Illinois vs Ball State -25.5

Give me the Cards here. Western Illinois is a solid FCS school but I would look for Ball State to light it up big as they try and go back to back.

2. Wagner vs Buffalo -45

I would take Wagner here. This line is huge, and there is a chance that Wagner keeps it closer than people think as Buffalo transitions to a new coaching staff as well as losing many players to graduation.

3. Bowling Green vs Tennessee -34

BG lost by more than this to MAC teams last year. Easy pick, take the Vols. Josh Huepel is in his coaching debut, so look for him to run up the score.

4. St Francis vs Eastern Michigan -30.5

This one is tough, but take the Eagles. Eastern is experienced on the trenches and should look good on defense so maybe this game could cover, but risky play.

5. Western Michigan vs Michigan -17.5

I am not sure how Michigan is only favored by 17. This is a BIG Ten team that has a considerable size and skill advantage in every position. Take the Wolverines.

6. Miami OH vs Cincinnati -23

The bearcats want to go to the playoffs, they need to blow teams out. Take Cincy as they look to pad their stats and make a run at the big dawgs later on.

7. Central Michigan vs Missouri -14

This is an SEC team, not sure how they would not cover two touchdowns. Go tigers.

8. Akron vs Auburn -36.5

Again, go Tigers. Akron is a bottom two team in the MAC and Auburn has a new coach in Brian Harsin that will look to impress. Auburn wins big here.

9. Norfolk State vs Toledo -37.5

Take the Rockets. My pick to win the MAC West, Toledo should handle this FCS team and hopefully it is enough for their backups to play well and win by 40.

10. Syracuse vs Ohio +1.5

Might be close, but I will still take an ACC team over a MAC school transitioning to a new coach. Take the Orange but hold your breathe.

11. NIU vs Georgia Tech -18.5

Both of these teams are rebuilding, but G Tech still has a big size advantage, take the yellow jackets.

12. Kent State vs Texas AM -28.5

Again, this is a top SEC team. They should be able to bully the Golden Flashes and roll Kent State. Go Aggies.

Comment on Twitter if you disagree! Yes I know I took a lot of favorites, but I just do not have much faith in the MAC when playing P5 teams.
